What?
Source on that one?

Well with 2022 Steam now rejecting even Duel Princess and other ESRB-rated games that are releasing on the Switch, this was likely never going to come out on Steam anyway since the characters don't all have giant breasts bigger than the size of their heads.

This has been a good 14 or so months with Dohna Dohna, Evenicle 2, and (likely at the end of the year) Rance 9 all coming out in English in a relatively short span.

Just preordered. Alicesoft games never dissapoint. Super hype!

meanwhile a lot of low quality hentai games releasing here on steam. Why they reject Dual princess.
No one is willing to challenge Steam/Valve because they are huge and these kinds of games are niche and everyone has just accepted defeat.

There's very little one can do, steam is just too big and convenient and the competition hate anime games just as much, if not more.
Not really true, Kagura Games releases Nukige and Eroge made in RPG Maker and WOLF RPG, but they hide the 18+ content behind patches, same for many MANGAGAMER, JASTUSA and Denpasoft games, There is also WasabiEntertainment and H-Game which release same type of games as Kagura but H-Game manages to do it without the need of a patches while Wasabi needs patches. I think the actual problem is that all those companies started when releasing when valve got loose on the restrictions before starting to again restrict a lot, but since they already where on steam they had the "behind the scenes" knowledge which AliceSoft lacked as it was their first game on steam. Dont know whats the case with Duel Princess since it was just ecchi game not a hentai game so this is a different topic, but the reason steam is again being more sctrict is cause of cancel culture, recommend you search around for info about A Kiss for the Petals a yuri game was removed from steam for some time before MANGAGAMER managed to get it back here, spoiler aleart it started with someone from the cancel culture with enough influence to be butthurt about a lesbian story.

They didn't, the game is still banned to this day.
You're probably confusing Remembering How We Met with Maidens of Michael:
Remembering How We Met never got banned, Maidens of Michael did and never came back:

Wrong again, it was a random dude who originally bought the game who then got worried about canadian laws because he was going on a trip there for a few weeks but instead of requesting the game to be deleted from his account, he requested the game to be deleted from steam, claiming that it was pedo content.

1. Was it? I remember reading on MANGAGAMERs blog that they managed to bring the game back to steam.
2. I may have the reasoning wrong (that he was butthurt with lesian content), but first, some random guy saying its pedo content would not be enough to ban a game or i would be able to ban any game as well and im quite sure writing to steam with whatever reason i would have would not ban a game, second, wanting to get a game deleted from steam IS cancel culture so i dont see how i got it wrong with saying he had influence and was part of cance culture.

BTW if some random ppl with no influence would be enough to ban a game than cancel culture would ban a trackload of anime stylized games from steam which at one point in time Atelier Ryza was a target of such attepmts, and i think they also tried to cancel Atelier Ryza 2 but it did not work as well, your reasoning that it was some random guy is full of holes, as said random person with no influence would not mean anything. And Dead by Daylight still being on steam is a great example of how random ppl cant cancel a game, cause there was a lot of ppl who signed a petition to valve to ban this game from steam as the developer allows and encourage toxic and negative attitudes and bullying in the community as well as allows hacking and cheating. Game is still on steam and devs still ignore that the community in it is worse than Dota, LoL and CS GO put together. So with this example we also can rule out that numbers matter.

They never did, at most they said several times that they were trying to get it back but never managed to do it: steam just ignore them.

I was there when it happened, I think the thread got deleted but the guy who did it was pretty happy with himself.
Also steam's policies are absolutely unclear and random, many games got banned for seemingly no reason. Trying to find out a rule or logic is a waste of time.
i wonder if they will consider Fakku or Nutaku
okay but why couldn't you do the English release on itch.io like most nsfw indies do? are you stupid or something?

You mistake what a indie developer is with a small mainstream developer, AliceSoft is a quite big dev team, one of the biggest in case of Eroge games and their games are being sold in shops in japan not on some indie game platforms. Easy to see that a mainstream dev team will not want to go to an indie platform especially when that platforms adults games are cheap cringey porn not a jRPG with erotic scenes as fanservice.

okay so, even chibig uses itch.io. it's also much more accessible. AND people can use paypal on that site. atleast i could way back, who knows now. also, itch doesn't JUST have cheap cringy stuff. also, have you even played the demo or read the dialog?? it's just as cringy. if not more so.
This is the first game Alicesoft has published themselves in English, I am not surprised it isn't on itch since they likely are either not familiar with it or have reason to trust it or believe in it. They made the game available on like 7 different digital stores in English.

It is on both Fakku and Nutaku.
Even Chibig, who the f is chibig, like seriously are you even understanding what i said? AliceSoft is big, something like SquareEnix, but for a different type of audience and are around for 33 years now creating some of the biggest names in japanese visual novels, with many being bestsellers. BTW they are also the oldest and longest existing Eroge and VN companies in japan.
