Censorship and removed scenes

Hello everyone, currently Alicesoft addressed the mosaic issue on their official twitter: https://twitter.com/Alicesoft_en/status/1295666968129724416?s=20

but they still won't address the removed scene question, please if you are interested in the game do not let this pass and keep asking. we all want a full Evenicle 2 game since we loved the first one.

They said that should be the only cut scene in the full Steam release and they'll try to see an uncut release on another platform. But they didn't make actual promises for either.

yeah i was about to post, the game WILL be censored on Steam and WILL have the scene removed, we will be lucky if another store gets an uncut verison of the game. rip

They stated HOPEFULLY that will be the only scene they need to remove, there may be more scenes removed later on though depending on what it takes to appease valve. They also confirmed there will NOT be a restoration patch because they clearly state "Buy it on other platforms if we find another publisher willing to sell it with mosaics but no cut content". If they had planned to create a restoration patch, they'd have mentioned it.

I think I will have to agree to dropping this. I have not played one of these games since the first Evenicle's release (not that that was my first time playing one of these, just the last time), but I just cannot make myself support censoring and cutting content. I mean it is this kind of game, we know what we are getting into.

I will still check out the demo, but I won't be buying it unless it releases in a fixed state. I have well over a hundred normal games I can play anyways.

I just really hope alicesoft listen to their fans and just put the full game on another stores like jast, fakku, mg, etc.

They are already in talks with other platforms, so it really depends on how things go in the process and discussion to get it on those platforms. At the least Alicesoft should consider making a patch for the cut content which they probably could host on their own website in case they run into issues getting it on other stores.

Well - Another reason to buy this game on anther platform than Steam.

The stupid Steam policy's are wrecking games (and visual novels) left and right, to an extent that some story's do not make sense anymore, because so much is cut out. I rather have games or novels that can be played or read the way the developers/writers have intended it, than cut down and damaged versions that does not hurt my (presumed) delicate soul.

I mean, who wants a castrated version of a game? Maybe the it's for real Steam-eunuch?

Mostly its puritan moral guardians, who most likely dont even know how to turn on PC.

I dont want to bother with patching and unlocking. If steam version is the only western release theyre planning, I'm not interested in this game.
