maybe it's just a coincidence idk but seems wacky that i saw like 3 reviews with people who got it free self-admittedly

You can get it "gratis" on a certain website, where other games like this are also available to download, and games on there, get updated regularly too, going by the details listed on there. 1,000's of games from really dire to really good.
This is, in all probability available on there too. As are games of this genre/style/type (take your pick) that are also on Steam. On that website, some games are completed, others are either current (game in progress) or on hold, abandoned, etc etc.

Just a statement of fact. Simple way of finding this game is to use your search engine of choice and use your keyboard .. and not to fapp away whilst searching online for it.

An, fella!, it's available on certain websites, that's what I referred to, and nothing to do with codes at all.
