That was 10 years ago.
You should be ashamed..
Probably one of the last games that didn't handhold the player in order to make him/her feel a stronger sense of accomplishment when finishing it.
That's how it felt to me at least, when managed to end it for the first time on PS2.
I believe PS2's God of War was more brutal and unforgiving than WW and way more cheaper. The willpower needed to master Kratos borders on deliberate sadism.
Game-breaking bugs and countless glitches on every version of this Prince of Persia however can (and had) put off many players in the past.
Both PS2 discs I bought had me start the game all over again after the first Empress fight, or had me fight against an invisible Golem; which I did TWICE ON EACH DISK after having to do all over again the third time I reached the same place.
But that's how the game made an impact on me and got me so shocked with its original premise, its fantastic aesthetics and its captivating soundtrack that I willingly made that far.
You should check you didn't fall on a bug/glitch situation (namely, replaying zones all over again, ; if you didn't, please, consider to lower the difficulty setting if you feel frustrated about some combat scenarios.
It's a really fun game and an inspiring experience, and I believe it deserves your time if you enjoy action/adventure games.
Unless you are challenging yourself, there is no real merit on playing it on a higher (or lower) difficulty.
Best of luck, man.
Greetings from Argentina.
Im sorry but.. you are really, really bad...
Also I disagree completely, this one is by far the best TPoP game, Sands of Time being second and all the other a complete waste of time.
Like I said, you can get hit while doing a combo. And enemies block a lot more on the hardest difficulty setting. The only way I could pull off the longer combos was by using Eye of the Storm. I think that's the name of the power that slows down time.
I already finished the game last week...kind of. I encountered a game-breaking bug that didn't allow me to face the final boss. That sucked...but I already finished this game years ago on the Xbox.
I forgot the ending. Didn't realize there was a different ending on the hardest difficulty level. Luckily, it was posted on YouTube.
the endings has nothing to do with difficulty level. The second ending require to unlock all life upgrades and picking water sword.
Damn so I wouldn't have gotten the "good" ending anyway. I never got the Water Sword and I only found 2 or 3 life upgrades. Ah well.
