I used this tutorial to get it set up: https://www.reddit.com/r/PrinceOfPersia/comments/8zq5ol/prince_of_persia_warrior_within_proper_gamepad/
It has a link back to steam forums on it. Do scroll down and read the topmost comment by dusty_thoreau, it's important
Always use this site for game fixes. Download and replace pop.bif with either the Xbox or Playstation controller file.
It was on Xbox and Gamecube
Please make sure to select this in the games properties by right clicking on the game and selecting controller, this should recognise your gamepad as soon as you launch the game. If you are unable to select gamepad in the games controls settings, exit out the game and try again making sure your controller is connected already, as the option for gamepad in the settings should appear and not be greyed out.
If you start to experience any interference with the controls, try unplugging your mouse and keyboard and use a usb connection with your pad instead of bluetooth to connect to your PC.
Happy holidays everyone x
