Cannot climb the platform in garden waterworks!!

on the main floor after turning the lever, I have to climb on the sprout and jump onto the column. But I can not climb that thing. Please help me

Same problem...no solution I can see.

EDIT: Gonna try reinstalling the game and see if that fixes it.
EDIT2: Nope. Either it's a save file issue, or the pc version is just ♥♥♥♥♥♥.

I just completed that section and had no problems whatsoever. Exactly as i remember playing it a decade ago. I dont really understand which one you mean, could you provide a screenshot?

Oh wow. I see, is this a widespread issue? As far as i remember i've always gone up on my first try.

I checked around and found two other people that had the issue, with no solution. One of them said he solved it by running the game in safe mode, but that didn't work for me either. My theory is it's an anti-piracy measure, since I'm playing with Steam family sharing.

Do you have a save handy that's right after that? If so I can see if it's a file problem.

Not really, a good chunk has already been completed, i'm in the 2nd tower. I guess you could backtrack. I'm here if you still want it.

I now realize it's pretty far ahead and probably slim chance of going back if you tried.. but curious if it's possible if you try.

I've also just read of others trying abandoning the site and doing the other tower first and then trying their luck again to see if the bug persists, have you considered doing that?

It would only be that much more painful if it does persist, and I'm forced to redo the whole game over again.

Yeah i understand.. I've just progressed further, where i'm actually in the main hallway. Much better now if you want to try it. I've updated my previous link.

Just tried and it didn't work. It's definitely a problem with the game itself.

I just got Ubisoft support to forward the bug to the devteam in Montreal, but it's very unlikely they'll do anything about it.

Heh yes.. a 13 year old game. Although the bug is quite game breaking. Fingers crossed.

What could be there that works for some and doesn't for others? I mean there were no updates, we've got the same build, the same object, the same map. Why wouldnt the Prince grab onto the ledge?

There's only one thing I can think of. Are you playing this through Steam, or Uplay?
