Prince of Persia - SHOULD I BUY ON STEAM? YES! Everything can be fixed!

For those who are considering buying Prince of Persia games on steam.

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time - not require uplay
Prince of Persia: Warrior Within - not require uplay
Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones - not require uplay
Prince of Persia (2008) - not require uplay
Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands - require uplay

How does it look if your game requies Uplay? Let's say you have uplay account but don't have any game on it yet. So, if you buy game on steam (that require uplay), this game will be automatically assigned to your uplay account. Simple!

Problems / Fixes

Only two games have a problem with resolution (The Sands of Time and Warrior Within). You can fix it using this program UniWS Patcher [www.wsgf.org].

I bought Warrior Within and I had to apply 2 fixes, Widescreen fix but that was expected, and then replacing some corrupted cutscene to get rid of crashing. Then a third problem occured where the cutscenes played 2 audio tracks of the same dialog but in different languages at once, no idea why. I didn't take the chance to fix that too, I requested a refund. I don't want to ruin my memories of this awesome game with all these problems that require fixing.

I'm using an F310 with X input, and for example, START is the block button. Anybody gets very weird controls with a gamepad?

same here.Luck that we can change the buttons for everything.The buttons that appear on tutorial and menus are for D input.

Requires Uplay? Good thing I didn't buy The Forgotten Sands. When it first came out, I thought the Prince of Persia 2008 was bad and The Forgotten Sands was meant to redeem it. But when I actually tried out POP 2008, I loved it, not as much as the Trilogy, but still a great game. The Forgotten Sands, on the other hand, was awful. The graphics are really nice, some gameplay aspects are really fun, but the story is horrible. The Forgotten Sands might be the reason why there will never be another Prince of Persia game. It's that awful.

It's worth noting that you can't redeem the exclusive costumes for the forgotten sands since it can't connect to the uplay servers.

This problem is caused by replace the video that was crashing for you (the one after beat the woman in the boat in the beggining of the game) to solve it you have to restore the video for the original file, delete it and check the files of the game for Steam download the file and fix the multi audio issue.
