I haven't used them, but from the rules description they are generalizations of bishops to higher dimensions.

A bishop moves along a diagonal. This means that it moves along two dimensions at the same time in a line. This could be Rank and File, Rank and Time, File and Parallel, and so on.

A unicorn moves along a triagonal. This means that it moves along three dimensions at the same time in a line. This necessitates using one of the two time dimensions, or both.

A dragon moves along a quadragonal. This means that it moves along ALL FOUR dimensions at the same time in a line.

Which sounds bonkers, but hey.
