Tiny Combat Arena

Tiny Combat Arena

Strategy aspects planned?
Obviously this game takes alot of inspiration from the A-10 games, and one of the coolest things about those games was that you could basically sit back and give your friendly AI planes detailed flight-plans on the mission map. You didn't even have to pilot a plane yourself to win a scenario, you could try to get get the AI to do it and watch how that played out. You could also spectate any unit be they ground or aircraft and follow their projectiles as they fired on each other.

Just wondering if there is any plan for something similar here.

Actually yes, though I've never given details on what the plans are because I want to stay flexible on the details. It likely won't be as detailed as you're describing, but there are some basic "orders" that the player will be able to do while in the Arena map pre-flight. Helicopters will be integral to this, and are planned to be a sort of special unit on the battlefield.

Sounds good, thanks for answering! Being able to direct friendly units in combination with a mission editor seems like a great way to extend replay value. Will you consider being able to do a "hands-off" approach like A-10 and just observe the battle, or will you have to be in a plane cockpit during any given mission/scenario?

No, that's not specifically planned, but you can watch things and change cameras while in the Arena map mode.
