Will Wadjet Eye's Regional Pricing Approach Continue with Old Skies?

Hello Wadjet Eye Games team,

As a long-time fan and collector who tries to grab all the games developed and published by Wadjet Eye Games, I was happy to see the confirmation in another thread that Old Skies will launch at $19.99 USD. Thanks for providing that information.

This brings up a follow-up question specifically about regional pricing. Historically, Wadjet Eye Games has been great about implementing adjusted regional prices on Steam, which is incredibly helpful for fans in many parts of the world.

With Old Skies being the first title (as far as I recall) launching at a $19.99 base price point (previous peaks being $14.99), I wanted to inquire if the established regional pricing policy or approach is expected to remain consistent.

For context, I've gathered some historical data showing the regional price variations for previous title. Please note this data shows current prices and conversions, which may fluctuate, but illustrates the historical approach. (See below for details.)

As you can see, especially with the more recent $14.99 titles released between 2018 (Unavowed) and 2022 (Hob's Barrow), there's a fairly consistent pattern of regional adjustments relative to the USD base price.

My core question is: Will Old Skies follow a similar regional pricing structure, adjusted proportionally for its $19.99 base price, or should we anticipate a different approach this time?

Understanding this would be very helpful for planning the purchase.

Steam has an algorithm that automates the process, so I just press the "use steam's recommendations" button and it generate all the prices for me based on the USD price. I did the same for Old Skies, so I can only assume the answer to your question is "Yes." :)

Hello Dave, long time fan here. We even exchanged some emails over the years.
I'm sure you meant well, and you trusted valve and assumed that they are competent in these pricing suggestions, but sadly they are not, and most developers are unaware of this, so I don't blame you :)
Valve's recomendations are very bad for some countries, like mine (Poland). Valve based them on exchange rate from October 2022. It's now outdated data, because USD/PLN exchange rate between October 2022 and now changed from USD1=PLN4.5 to USD1=PLN3.78. This is making the price of your game in Poland the second highest in the world! More info here:

+1, mentioned this on Rosewater forums too but the price in PLN stayed the same (unfair exchange rate 4.5) there.
