Which is kind aunfortunate cause I realize some maps are only hard if you do the star challenges, otherwise they kinda fall apart due to the lackluster AI. xd
Doesn't excuse when the AI sends the commander recklessly to the front line where you can basically finish it off.
Look at Advance Wars, the AI has weaknesses there too but the mission design is way better catered to it.
At least the AI there produced counter units, at least they utilized their grooves or special abilities of their units. Or they don't just go into your range with units that have weaknesses to yours.
The Ai in WG2 is extremely basic. There might be no perfect AI. (though that's debatable i'm sure you can train a perfect AI in a turn based game) but there is clearly huge room for improvement.
