Anyone else stuck at the rock climbing once on Mars?
I did fine till that scene and keep falling to my death. Any cheat codes to get past it?

No cheat codes, ...well that im aware of, did tried to see if the engine gave me something but I never followed through, the only way it to fight against the mechanics and make it, the whole ordeal looks like an afterthought, eitherway the best way close to cheats is having someone upload a clean save of all chapters unlocked and continue from where you left.

That's an idea, thanks. Not real motivated to play other games as it is these days due to too much going on in real life, so it really bummed me out.

I got stuck at this for very long time too, but it is solvable. The problem is, some parts that look climbable just aren't.

Pay attention to climbing hook when you set your each anchor point, the difference is very subtle. If it sparks, you can't put it there. If it sinks in like in the training course, you won't fall from there.

The route starts from jump, grab, move right, move down what you can (you're able to get lower by hanging with only one arm), then take a leap of faith and let go / drop down a little, try catch mid-air next area that looks like climbable.

When that's done, you can do the rest. May take a few tries, margin of error is pretty small. Don't hang around too long though, you have limited oxygen supply.

Thanks, I gave up and I think uninstalled the game. I'm still working full-time and don't want aggravation, when I could be relaxing during my limited free time.

Its confusing for the first 5 minutes but as soon as you realize the left/right rythm its very intuitive.
There are also new options in the menu for climbing just with one button and such to make it even easier.

I always have issues with scenes like that in games because forces 3rd-person.

I tried for probably 20-30 mins straight and kept falling to my death.

Turns-out I did not uninstall yet, so maybe will try this weekend again.

Basically the important thing is that you ALWAYS have one of the two pickaxe buttons pressed at all time. If at any point you let go of both of them you will 100% fall.

The rythm is you jump against the wall and press both buttons to hook your pickaxes into the rock. Then you let go of ONE of the buttons which will also let go of that pickaxe and arm in the game. Then you MOVE into the direction you want as far as you can stretch that arm and press the button again which will lock the pickaxe again into the rock.
Then you let go of the OTHER button/arm and move them also in that direction as far as you can go and press it again. Now you have space again to stretch your first arm and rinse and repeat.
Its really just this rythm of let go of one button, move, press again, let go of the other, move also, press again, back to the start.
After a while its super easy and you speed climb around like a spider.

Did it on gamepad, dont know if its any easier there but should be not much different on keyboard.

Thanks.
tried this first ice wall multiple times. the S+Space still results in me not getting to the other ice wall. Really hacked off with this now. can't get back out of the cave either. With Martian gravity being 38% of earth you should be able to jump higher and have enough time to engage with the opposite ice wall.. doesn't seem like that in game. it's a real downer. :-(

If this is the part where you need to get out of that ice cave before freezing after falling into it, the trick is the camera position.
Do NOT look at the ice wall you want to jump to which is behind you, doing that will make the jump fail 100% all the time. Focus the camera behind your character on the ice wall you are on , THEN press the move + jump button combo.
Kathy will jump backwards and turn around in the air, right away press both pickaxe buttons to hook into the other wall.
That part did drive me insane also, its just very poorly explained with the button prompts.

Here's what it looks like. Compared to Youtube gameplays, it's definitely a bug, but only in this climbing section fortunately (I finished the game yesterday without further issues).
