Whiff Punishes be hard man
I though I had ok reactions but cant get lower than 17 frames in this whiff punish mini game. Whiff punishes in major games seem more forgiving

It trains you to react to audio-visual cues specifically. Hell, you can try playing that mini-game with eyes closed to react to audio cues only. Now that's hard. And punishes are not... More or less forgiving. You just have relatively fast moves here to wiff-punish. Which is not terrible idea. I'm going to pour some time into this later.

fast moves by definition make the punish window less forgiving bruh, but i guess i just gotta spend some more time to adapt

Well, here's the thing. In various fighting games you usually have an assortment of attacks, some of them are almost impossible to whiff punish, because they be like 5 activation frames, 2 active frames, 4 post-active frames. And some are extremely easy to punish (usually, reversals).

Here it just focuses on moves you'd be likely to use in, well... Footsies :D Relatively fast, pretty good, pretty safe on block. So very fitting?

I found it hard at first too, kept scoring 18 frames, but after a while you get used to it, I started scoring 13~16. Definitely found it harder than hit confirms though (You get 20 frames, it's unlike whiff punish where you could be waiting for 10 seconds or longer which kills your concentration). Found it weird that more people completed this compared to the hit confirm challenge.

Just my 2 cents having been averaging 18, if you can, switch screen to 144hz and take off vsync. Watch specifically for the pixels that make the front of the foot to disappear and you should be good to hit 17 and under 10 times.

Holy, turn off the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ v-sync. This drill felt near impossible with it on, my average punish was ~17.5, after turning it off, easily got 10+ in a row with average punish frames of ~15.25 or so.
