Hello everyone!

It took us a while… but we’re back with a big patch with a lot of exciting stuff inside! A lot of new additions, changes, improvements, and fixes! Are you ready? Let’s start ;)

First of all, we would like to thank everyone who supports the game. We read the feedback you leave us. It helped us a lot, and we appreciate it! The development of the game is ongoing, and this is just the beginning of our journey. There is much more to come!

There are 5 main things that today's patch brings alongside others:


We’ve added completely new main missions and malfunctions. We don’t want to spoil anything, just to make it more exciting for you ;) We hope you’ll like it!


We created an entirely new ping system to improve communication between players. You will be able to tag elements in the game and quickly send pre-written messages to other crew members.



From now on every character has a different set of two unique traits - one passive and one active. Active ones need to be initiated by pressing a dedicated button (“R” by default), while passive ones are always in effect.

Active traits will either consume Enzymes upon activation or require a cooldown period between uses.

Enzymes required for Active traits:

In the previous version of the game, they were called “loot”, and you could find epic or legendary loot. With this patch, it has changed, and instead of loot, we have Enzymes that are turned into Experience at the end of the game or can be used to activate the character trait. Each type of Enzyme costs a different amount of points.


- Decoy Gun

With its help you can create a movable distraction to draw the attention of the Intruders away from you and the rest of the crew.

- Plasma Gun

A powerful weapon, sending out a plasma beam that wreaks havoc. This weapon can become very useful.

- Glowstick

One of the new items is a glowstick. It will illuminate dark corners while keeping you at a safe distance.

- Medical boosters

They will give your characters various boosts for a short time. Remember that any medical booster can cause side effects, sometimes even serious ones, so use them carefully.

Some of the new items are much rarer than others. They’re not guaranteed to appear in every play session.


To help you with your missions, we’ve created a secret room called “The Armory”. It’s a special room that can’t be hacked or unlocked through a Workstation.
To open it you will need to find a special, hidden access card or solve a number of malfunctions.

Will you be able to get in there and see what's inside? ;)

Hello!

A new patch, that added new hiding spots, and fixed problems like e.g Flamethrower damage area, visibility of game elements while spectating, and improved some aspects of the game, has just been released. In general a lot of fixes here and there and small quality of life improvements!

Other than that, we've made it possible to place quest barrels by dropping them into slots in the nest, and fixed dead sessions visible in the list of available games. Check the detailed list of changes below:

Hello!

Patch 0.91 is now live!

In this patch we mainly focused on optimizing the game in three aspects:

• Game performance;
  
• Bandwith and latency;
  
• Server performance

Our team worked hard to deliver those changes as fast as they can, cause we know how important it is not only for us but mostly for you.

Moreover, we’ve fixed some problems that caused crashes and made changes in terms of the game itself i.e by increasing inventory size in backpack from 2 to 4, and by adding a map marker after player death.

Additionally from now, whenever a patch will be released, a pop-up in the main menu, that informs about required game update will appear.

As we said in the previous patch, our biggest priority right now is to bring the game to the satisfactory technical condition. Before we start implementing your suggestions, making general changes to the game, as well as adding new content, we must get rid of the bugs. We are aware that some of them spoil the game, therefore our next step is to fix them.

Your feedback is really helpful to us both in terms of problems and also suggestions, so if you have something that’s on your mind, let us know :)

Hey everyone!

Today we have few very important fixes and also few announcements. First of all – let’s start with the elephant in the room.

Generally, launch of Early Access was far from perfect. Some of you had crashes / lags and general problems that were making the game much less enjoyable (or not enjoyable at all). We take full ownership of that and would like to apologize to those of you who experienced those problems.

Obviously, there are some problems with game-design itself, but this was more expected as with the Early access phase we always focus at upgrading gameplay quality significantly based on your feedback.

Our team worked as fast as possible, to fix some of the biggest problems and will continue to do so in coming / days week. Lets start with what have changed in todays patch:

One important note here – whenever we will patch the game, you will be unable to open up a new game, until you download the update. For future patches we will make a pop-up informing about it!

OK, but what are the general plans for future?
First of all, we want to fix any problems you might have experienced from the technical state of the game. This is our highest priority.
But then, we have also made a lot of notes from your feedback and will be making changes to general game such us: difficulty level (especially scaling while playing with different ranks), making gameplay more intuitive (ux / looks of feedback), some general balancing ( access cards taking whole bit slot…) and adding extra content.

We will also add more work toward optimization, to make sure the game will have much better performance on low and high end machines.
On top of that, we will want to add new content too – there is a lot of ideas on what to focus on (missions / stories / enemies behaviors / items etc.) and we would love to hear your ideas on what you would love to see more in the game!

But, those things will not happen overnight. It might take quite some time, but we hope that this time will reward you with great experience and with every new patch, you will have big quality upgrade and tons of fun!

We wanted to write a quick update. We are reading through all the feedback and looking at all the bugs - we are fully aware of some problems you are experiencing and we are working on fixing them ASAP!

We are really sorry that those happened, we know it is frustrating. Please accept our deep apologies for any problems you might experience.

Most probably first hot-fix will come Monday - target at fixing some of most annoying crashes. After that we will be working on:
- Lags
- Optimization
- Problems with joining games
- Other bugs

Those patches will be happening in no particular schedule (as soon as we will have tested fix, we will be putting it on server). We will be making small updates about them, as soon as they are added to the server.
You can also expect bigger patches with bigger changes / new stuff - and we will have whole big updates around those ;)

OK! This is it! Preeeeety big day for us, as finally we are ready to share with you Early Access version of Nemesis Distress! Whole team is SUPER excited... and a bit stressed as well :D
This was a long and demanding project and our team have really put in A LOT of effort and passion to make it happen.

OK! This is it for this very first EA update. Our whole team is ready at standby, a little bit stressed… but also excited. Hope you guys will have a great time!

Yesterday we started the 2.0 beta tests of the game. And we must admit that we are incredibly thrilled with how you welcomed the game! We also invited some content creators from Twitch and YouTube who specialize in horror games to check out the game. Their feedback after trying out the new version is also very positive!
Initially we planned to release the Early Access at 5th of May, but we wanted to make sure, that the game will be properly prepared (even if it is Early Access we would hate for it to have any game-breaking bugs). So we delayed the launch, with the timeline around the end of June.

BUT - after the tests, we are pretty happy with stability, optimization and general state of the game. Don't get us wrong, there is stil A LOOOOOT of polishing, small bug-fixing and adding content before us! Next weeks we will be working super hard on improvements. But the main foundation is there and works pretty well!
Based on that - we decided that we will be able to invite all of you interested in the game a bit earlier!
We are happy to announce and invite you to the Early Access of Nemesis Distress that will take place on the 15th of June! And we hope you will join us on the launch day to explore the secrets of Nemesis ship! Also, we will have some discount for the start of EA, so don't miss it!

On 19 May around 3 pm CEST, we’re launching beta tests that precede the game’s Early Access release. The tests will last about 6 days and only a limited number of players will be able to play the game.

While creating Nemesis: Distress, we’ve worked really hard to create a unique multiplayer game that will be a fresh, new experience in the Sci-Fi Horror genre. From the sound effects, through the traitor theme, to the survival aspect of the game, we tried to make each of these elements stand out from the crowd, so we wanted the sounds to evoke emotion and fear, and the traitor theme to give you the option to choose to act as a team or on your own. Cause when your life is at stake, and each step may be your last one, you’re the only one you can really trust.
