Pronouns in Murder on the Border

Why do the characters have preferred pronouns in the murder journal? Just here to say this is asinine and makes me want to quit playing. Embarrassing stuff.

It's Jagex's game, they can put whatever messaging or representation they want in it. Caring about someone else's gender is already a dumb thing to waste mental effort on, especially when the person isn't even real.
