Yew Wood Box & F2P
Why can't I produce a yew wood box as a free to play player? And why can't I buy one on the exchange? Even stranger, why was I able to find and buy acadia logs on the exchange and upgrade to that, but then mahogony is members locked? Making an acadia wood box also required teak upgrade to the wood box.

This really seems like a very, very arbitrary cut-off designed to make free-to-play that much more painful. Is there a reason free to play players can chop yew logs, but not put them in a box? Mining/smithing doesn't follow this same odd path with early cut-offs for the ore box. Does Jagex plan on taking away my ore box in the future? Insert coin to continue playing?

It's because even though they are trying to line some levels up, it's still very imbalanced. Most F2P skills are designed to gate you at level 50, which is where Acadia wood is. Mahogany is level 60, and Yew is 70. But they still haven't balanced out some levels, specifically for Woodcutting, because Yew is still a Free to Play tree, despite being level 70 to cut and 60 to burn. Granted Yew has always been a Free tree, but unable to really do anything with it, meanwhile Teak and Mahogany haven't always been Free Trees, and Acadia is a more recent tree compared to all 3 of them.

Mining and Smithing used to have a similar imbalance with Rune items requiring 90+ to mine and smith, but now are inline with their combat requirements to use, 50+. (Though the combat req used to be 40+ lol)

Tl,dr
They still need to rework Woodcutting and Fletching, the same as they did for Mining and Smithing.

Teak and Mahogany are actually only on member's worlds. I looked all over the free world map and couldn't find them, and Gemini confirmed. I bought them at the exchange in order to upgrade my wood box. But it would only let me upgrade it to acadia. The mahogany I ended up just.. throwing back on the exchange.

So it's even more messed up. But, yeah, seems everybody is in agreement woodcutting needs to be fixed.
Maybe they'll fix that f2p box progression when it gets 120.

120?
Level 120 content. Right now it's at 110. So maybe they'll address that then, if not sooner.

Teak exists non non member worlds now on Karamja next to the volcano and behind the general store. Mahogany is still members only though.
It was probably added specifically so you could get the teak box and continue the progression

Okay. Gemini said it was the other way around and it is now behind a member wall. However, Gemini has been wrong before.

Hopefully they follow suit and add all of the rest of the trees up to yew, since that is free to play harvestable.

It'll probably go the other way round, if they change anything about the members/free of trees, yews will probably become members to be more inline with how Smithing/Mining resources are.

You should use the wiki if you're thinking of getting rs info
