Runescape is NOT FREE

When you charge players for an upgrade to change a name or to do any function in a game that is advertised as free is called fraud. Free means it cost nothing to get all functions in a game. There are NO upgrades to pay for. Runescape is advertised as free to play, yet charges to simply change the name they generated for new players. I would highly advise everyone to not waste your time playing a game that is based on FRAUD.

Your made up definition, "Free means it costs nothing to get all the functions", doesn't fit nearly any free to play game nowadays. The model used in Runescape is quite generous: do as much as you want for as long as you want. If you want more, you can buy it. Key word: can. Nobody is forcing anyone to pay for the game. Plenty of people play for YEARS without paying a cent. Not to mention you can even buy membership and any other thing in the game using its own currency, so you can literally access every single piece of content without paying real world cash for it.

Runescape's base game is free. To get access to all parts of the game, you need to pay money (although for years, you've been able to gain access to them using bonds, which can be obtained for free). Any reasonable person would recognize that distinction, so an accusation of fraud would not hold up in court.

But accusing somebody of a crime they didn't commit might pass the bar to qualify as libel. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

yes runescape is like 15% free from quest/skill/pets/ect then after that you have to pay-earn bonds.

have you ever played an MMO before? What are the devs suppose to do to make cash? i assume you have never played before because you can, as with most MMOs and f2p in general, grind for the upgrades.

It is not totally free, but f2p has a LOT more to it than it used to. The 50% of the year im not a member, I am grinding f2p... Be thankful.

you should get a years sub at a time, its cheaper and reasonably priced as premier gold, f2p in MMOs is a misnomer, it's really a "demo" of sorts rather than a free game

Yeah, while f2p in some mmos like wow might just be a demo, other mmos (rs included) are more like... fully released games missing a bunch of expansion packs. Granted in some cases a Paradox game with more DLC and expansion content than the core game, but it's not like the core game is a bad game either.
