Can't launch the game at all

So I press Play and nothing happens. The game looks like it started but then closes itself without showing any menu or launcher. How to fix and actually play it?

Uninstalling etc. didn't work, I still can't play.

Yep, Windows 10.

And you get absolutely no errors? GPU drivers are up to date? Are you able to launch the client you download from Runescape's website?

I had the game running as administrator when I turned that off it started working again.

Right click the game in steam library > properties > local files > browse local files > bin > win64 > right click runescape.exe > compatibility > uncheck: 'run this program as administrator'
if you use a 32bit launcher/system or it doesnt work try the same with the launcher in the 'win32' folder, you can find that one in the 'bin' folder.

What... I just tried the 32 bit version in the game folder and now I'm with launcher. The thing is 64 bit one should be the main and working one, why?

When I tried running it as an administrator, it would infinitely try loading the executable from Steam and ask if it wanted to run that way.

Hey I suggest to use the normal launcher meanwhile, not the Steam one, it worked for me on compatibility mode

That doesn't work either. It just automatically opens Steam
