FYI There is a flatpak of runescape. It works fine. You can find it on flathub or the gnome software centre.
(yes i know you want a steam version, but at least the flatpak version works out of the box.
fair enough.
I haven't noticed any missing fonts TBH. Either way a steam version shouldn't take too much effort considering it's available elsewhere.
I would like to play RuneScape since so long...but never took the courage to download It from the website...
Sorry, "might be"?
i don't use windows at all any more, i'm not turning back just for one game. I'd very much like to play Runescape again and have a good experience doing it through Linux. But what can any of us Linux users do with "might be" and NXT which hardly works any more?
So here i am eagerly looking to get back into it and the developers aren't sure they want to do something to include another OS and the customers it would bring? I hope there is a clearer answer some point down the line on this one day.

it seems to be the only way to play RS is the GE version. A lot of the users are suggesting this custom version rather than the one steam uses. It clearly isn't entirely compatible with GE either unless you make some changes first to screen resolution and even then it isn't 100% stable.
