Do quests have path tracking?
The tutorial had path tracking for me but I can't seem to path track any quests I get in the world.

Some quests do, set them to Active in your quest tab

Not all of them, you gotta use your Quest Journal most of the times to analyze what's your character is thinking
and open the map to see the highlighted area you need to go.

Just a warning tho many quests are really hard to complete by yourself, cause they need a lot of concentration, using a guide when you stuck is the good way to go.
google: "name quest" quick guide rs wiki

Newer ones generally have a blue box on the minimap to help find your way. But most of them do not.
it would nice if they put option to enable it for all quests

or you can just /wiki (Quest Name) in the game chat
Doing it via google has a high chance of ending up on the old fandom wiki, not the official rs wiki.

You can always look up the quest on the runescape wiki [runescape.wiki] to find a guide if you find yourself stuck on a quest.

I think most novice quests keep the path while others just highlight the general area you need to go next.

It depends on the age of the quest. Some quests have had updates to parts of it, or being re-done completely. Ones that been updated may show markers, or even give you an arrow to follow.

Ones that don't all have guides that tell you step by step what to do on a vast variety of community run websites, or you can also open up the quest interface and click on the quest you're working on. It'll tell you what you need to do, and in most cases, give you a lead of where to head towards or someone to talk to for further information.

The old information also updates as you complete certain parts of the quests under the crossed out text, which you may be able to talk to people previously in the quests to see their text again, which may give helpful information of what you did.
