Can I group and do achievements/quests with group?

I noticed that the grouping option wants me to name a boss in order to teleport the group to the boss. Can we form a group solely to do achievements and quests and just to kill mobs? If so how? Also are there exp boosts with groups?

not on quests no.

no bonus exp just for being in groups although this game has tons of ways to get bonus exp...a clan boost being just 1

achievements are highly dependent on the description of what you have to do although boss 1s can be done with help from another player and smaller monsters too

Nobody groups up for any content except endgame force-group content. This is the most anti-social MMORPG in existence, just a heads up

Doosh is speaking out of his ass. You can make groups to do bossing, or simply roam around with friends, have their icon appear purple in the minimap and have a chat channel separate from clan chat, global chat, etc. While most people use groups for endgame bossing, that by no means is the only use of the group. You have full freedom to use it however you like. But no, you cannot group quest since quest progress is tracked separately. You can however use it to kill mobs as a "party" together and even turn on lootshare to share the drops between all the members of the group. No xp boost though.
