Linking Jagex account

so when I was playing i noticed that if i link a jagex account to my runescape account i get an extra 5 min before logout but idk how to link it i've clicked on links and everything but no choice to link it.

I think that only applies if you're running the game through the Jagex Launcher and not steam. I don't think steam uses the Jagex Launcher.

The steam version of RuneScape does not support the Jagex account system yet. They purposefully did this to try and persuade people away from Steam and back onto their own platform. Eventually Jagex Accounts will come to Steam, but not any time soon until they meet their quota.

I dont see how that can be the case when there are posts from people saying they got it wokring and there is a button to link a steam account in the account settings....

Well Jagex themselves said the Jagex Accounts are not compatible with steam currently so... I'm going to steer people away from it so they don't get locked out of their accounts like you appear to want to do.
