Jagex is complacent with hackers - No real support for players
In november 13 , My account was hacked, I lost access for 5 days, meanwhile. I tried to close all sessions in order to restabelish access to my account - it was pointless.

In 19 of the same month, I finally got my account back, I then I realized that my itens were stolen. I lost 4 bonds and 50M.

The first thing I did was to contact support, they quickly answered that My account was indeed hacked but they coulld not do anything about the stolen itens, due to their policy, that says " ultimately account security is the responsibility of the account holder".

This is not fair ! one thing is for me to be careless with my data or use easy passwords, another is the company doing nothing while bad hackers are using well know exploits to steal accounts & Itens from good players. (https://www.reddit.com/r/2007scape/comments/15qp6w8/psa_there_seems_to_be_an_exploit_with_the_jagex/?rdt=59278)

I put 300+ Hours into this game and Jagex support employees did nothing to help !!!

I am here to inform that I will stop playing runescape, and I hope this company treat this community with the respect they deserve.

FWI, I also contacted support 3 more times, without any answer.

Be safe people.

Jagex ultimately treats their customers with respect. [Because no one caught it, this is sarcasm.]

But also, it isn’t Jagex’s fault that your account wasn’t secured. It isn’t Jagex’s fault that you were hacked. Jagex doesn’t return money/items anymore because too many have claimed hacked and were not. If you were able to make all of this, you’ll be able to make it back.

I don’t think a single person here knows who you are enough to care that you’re leaving.

Best of luck in future endeavors.

heavy disagree and Ive been playing for over 15 years. The people, maybe they treat some fairly. But the company itself treats its people like ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in the exact respect this person is stating. Saying good bye to more players because the game isnt as secure as it could be. Ive only ever been hacked once despite many of my passwords being leaked before because i didnt create a new password for every single service (which btw is all of them now adays) that a actual adult needs to use.

thats kinda besides the point because what i wanted to say was look at how you even get support. Really, the only way is twitter and sometimes reddit if you get some traction. Their response team is absolute hot garbage but yeah they may be nice about it. When the new jagex profiles released and bugged tf out, my authenticator went down for no fault of my own. I guarantee if i had lost ♥♥♥♥ id be in the same boat as this guy scrambling on twitter to get a response thats only going to also lead me to a bugged out webpage. You should really try to get a support ticket in soley using the runescape website and nothing else. its actually not possible maybe unless maybe through forums or in a bug report you might get through.

Jagex doesn't need your type of help, buddy.:lunar2019piginablanket:
I’m not your buddy, pal.
I’m also not helping them. I have my issues with them as well. :earthplatypus: Initial reply was sarcasm.

Lmao, even. OP is at fault here for getting hacked, sure, but I'll never understand why people choose to defend corporations like Jagex *for free*, and most likely on their spare time, too. Jagex is a big boy, it can defend itself just fine.

Or... or...
Maybe I was being absolutely sarcastic and no one actually caught it. :steambored:
You people have been muddling around the discussion forums for a while. Haven't seen any of my other comments? L o l. I'm not going to simp for the company that declared an MTX cashgrab as a "large content update" and just recently added a boss with a garbage af loot table.

I'm an idiot, I'll admit, but I ain't that much of an idiot.

The only comment of yours I saw recently was that "guide" that was hilariously overcomplicating how to do a 5x5 slider puzzle.

Always use the "/s" or a similar format, always; even when people commonly make sarcasm of something dumb, someone will always say that dumb thing unironically, so why risk being misinterpreted like that? Players being voluntary PR workers for gaming companies isn't exactly a rare sight, either...

Then don’t use it. :steambored:

I’ll remember that for next time, and no kidding.

Blaming the company for their unhelpful advice is justified but your actions reap consequences. Before you start blaming JAGEX take time to consider where you last input account information and if that account information is saved on any browser. It's important to do so because other accounts unrelated to Runescape could be effected. Clear your Chrome cache, revisit the saved password setting and delete it all, then change it. Don't store that information on your computer. It makes things easy for you to login to accounts but it equally makes it easy for hackers to access this information. There's a set of Trojans that target this password manager in Chrome. Visiting an infected site can download malware directly to your computer and put you at risk - it's basic security. You don't have a folder on your computer called 'passwords' do you? I hope not. That's essentially what Chrome password manager is. In addition, if you want to continue using Chrome, I'd suggest noscript extension for a better understanding of internet security.

I'm not really sure WHO it's made for since 5x5 sliders have way simplier and less convoluted answers that have been the community going on nearly two decades now.

Generally speaking, a guide is suppose to simplify the process, not add multiple steps further. Sorry you can't take feedback on making something clearer.

I mean, treating me like I’m garbage isn’t feedback. Sure, there are other guides that are probably less complicated, but my brain doesn’t work that way.

I wanted to make something that was like Alt1, where it gave you step by step instructions. Sure, the setup is complicated, but the end product gives you a complete list of moves that a player has to do in order to solve the puzzle with limited brainwork.

I succeeded in what I intended to do. I’ve also helped a ton of people in my clan and in various communities I’m in, despite the complicated nature. So if you’re unable to follow the guide because it’s too complex for you personally, that isn’t my problem. Again, it wasn’t intended for you.

Have a nice day.
