Question about bonds

Hello, I started this game on mobile and decided to play it on pc as well because its super fun so far. I'm not rushing for membership not untill I figure the game out however I would like to ask what is bond exactly?

In store it says its possible to trade or gift for membership. Is it possible for me to use it for myself or do i have to trade or gift only? Because it's kinda weird, 1 month of membership is expensive for me on mobile but 1 bond is way too cheaper than that on mobile also. Why wouldn't i buy 1 bond and use it for membership then. But i believe it's not possible to self-use?

Yes you can use it on yourself, but, a single bond will only grant you 14 days of membership.

However, Bonds can be sustained using in game currency, I haven't had to pay a single dime for membership in the last 3 years.

Better to get membership cards than use a bond. Reason being you have to grind back the gold you used on it while attempting to play the content.

True, trying to maintain a bond feels like a second job, it's better to just buy it with real money.

Back in the day you used to be able to do this easily. I used to crush blue dragon scales to sustain myself as a mid lvl player at the time. Bonds were like 11 to 14 mil. Now the price of bonds is kinda insane.

One month membership is $12, which will cost you 2 hours of minimum wage work per month if you just buy membership monthly. Bonds cost almost 70 million gold, which you will need 2.1 bonds to maintain a full month of membership. Unless you have the levels to do the most profitable methods of making money (138 combat recommended on most + other skills at least lvl 90) then its more logical to just pay for membership per month for most people.
