If you're getting 3x the XP but it takes you 3x longer to kill them, you're better off just doing things your level. I'd recommend the Abyss for training though, thanks to the most recent update it's entirely risk free.
However, in this case I'd guess that accuracy is an issue for you, as I'm guessing your weapon is probably fairly low tier, which means very low accuracy.
That's OS and pre-EoC. That is not how combat XP is determined anymore. Each monster has a specific amount of XP assigned to it that you receive upon killing it, and, while it does follow the general pattern of "more hp=more xp," this relationship is not linear, nor does more HP always equal more XP.
This is correct
Again, while it does follow that general pattern, it is not necessarily the case. For example, Lampenflora are level 216, while Brutish Dinosaurs are level 164. The former gives 1396 combat xp, while the latter gives 2757.
The monsters your level range's slayer master can assign are a good guideline
You get slayer points when you complete tasks. You can talk to the masters to redeem those points, for things like equipment, training, and unlocking other crafting or monsters to kill.
The main rewards for slayer are the drops the monsters themselves drop. Slayer points are a secondary reward.
You missed, Armored zombies under the wildy altar.
