And while Jagex has stated that Fresh Start Worlds (FSW) is targeted at new and returning players, this is hardly the case as new players are constantly trying and quitting the game because the early game, even the tutorial, is so overwhelming and confusing, they just give up on it altogether. Imagine playing that same game at an accelerated xp rate and told they can participate in a league-type run for the first 99 and 120 in skills, they can breeze through quests and early game content and then be brought back into the main game after four months with a bunch of rare tokens that can be exchanged for rewards and that these tokens can be traded and sold to other players for well over the gold limit cap in Grand Exchange -- this is tailor-made for the alt runners and Jagex knows it.
As for returning players, those coming back after numerous years away, don't want to start over again from scratch. They'd rather not play at all than face doing all those quests again. They want to pick up where they left off. They too are somewhat overwhelmed at all of the changes since the last time they played. Speed running through all of the early and mid-game would do nothing toward making any of it comprehensible. These guys are not the target audience either and again Jagex knows this.
They might, but only if they could find a way to make money off it.
And those "few minutes" have now turned into a promise to come back in about 3 hours. Maybe.
Mainly because I have no interest in starting over and replaying content I've completed before, but I also don't want to create a new email, a new account, and a new membership, just to fight a bunch of whales alt accounts over resources (and help artificially inflate the membership numbers).
Once those few whales that the company owners keep telling JaGEx to cater to start losing interest... well, that's gonna make yesterdays failed launch debacle look like a pleasant memory by comparison...
Giving you the option of starting a completely new account in a fresh environment
lmao no nevermind; all interest gone
