can someone explain to me what augmenting armor that degrades to dust does

If i augment an armor that degrades to dust does that mean that it wont become dust if i keep on charging it?

if i read the wiki correct then the augmented pices just break and can be repaired with full armor pieces or look yourself https://runescape.wiki/w/Sirenic_armour#Augmented_armour

Degrades to Dust armour such as Sirenic, Tectonic and Malevolent when augmented WILL NOT degrade to dust when their charge runs out, they will however become completely unusable until they are recharged, this requires a completely unused piece of armour, 36 divine charges and an augmentor* for the respective armour piece, just note that Helmets will always degrade to dust and there is nothing you can do about it.

While not super expensive, for upkeep efficiency I'd reccomend sticking to Pernix (as an example) till you can just afford to go straight for Elite Sirenic/Tectonic as the HP bonus from Pernix makes up for the reduction in armour and the style bonus between the two armours is basically negligible.

I am going to dry this with zuriels untill i have enough money to upkeep this with tectonic. since zuriels is close to 30m to upkeep. So i can fully repair a nearly degraded armor with a replacement so it does not turn completely to dust which seems to be the case for most end game armors
