RS3 Rune pickaxe

Hi!
Got back from RS after a long while and started a new char on rs3. I am wondering, at lvl 50 mining you unlock rune pickaxe, but do you also need 50 attack to be able to mine with it?

Tools used to need a corresponding Attack level to equip, but that got changed a while back, when they gave all tools tier 1 combat stats (equivalent to bronze).

For pickaxees/hatchet though, you'll used the one you have equipped first, otherwise you'll use the best one in your inventory or toolbelt that you have the level to use.
