Using a VPN is fine but use at your own risk. I know that's a mixed message but it's just what Jmods on Twitter will regurgitate back to you. You want to make sure that the VPN service you plan on using isn't also used by bot farmers: by default stay away from free services - you shouldn't be using a free VPN anyway.
That's the main concern for a tag by JAGEX's bot detection system.
