can't change any of the graphics settings

i don't know how to describe this in words, so here's a gif [gyazo.com] that shows what's happening

basically, none of the settings do what they're supposed to, seems like they effect the option behind it instead of the actual option i'm trying to change, and I can't figure out how to fix it, or even just my game render scaling so that the game becomes playable again. 2 of my friends are having the same issue, but i can't find any threads anywhere about this. can anyone help?

Same here -- I am unable to change most settings and nothing seems to update. If I run the auto setup tool, it sets everything to the lowest and greys a lot out, where it used to set most everything to high/ultra.

It's in the patch notes for the week as a known bug introduced as a side effect of them fixing the more serious client issues.

it's happening with me too. I was stuck with Render scale 50%. But i have a temporary solution:
1. Close the game
2. Go to: game folder/Runescape
3. Delete the file Settings.jcache
4. Now when you open the game all the settings will be default. But don't chage the graphics settings individually, since the bug is yet not solved. You can click the low/mid/high/ultra and re-run auto setup without problem.

The above is not a fix. It's just clicking re-run auto setup which is not what the problem is.

Some dev touched and ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up the interface code so now it just doesn't work. The update was pushed today and I'm surprised they haven't rolled it back yet. They did some visual changes but clearly didn't test their crap.

You have to just wait for Jagex to get off their asses. There's no user end fix for this.

I already said is not a fix. is a temporary solution.
The pre-determined settings and the re-run auto setup don't change some options. If some bugged option changed your Render scale to 50% like happened to me and him, there is no way to change back to 100%. I tried. A lot. You need to force a settings reboot.
