Mithril Bars

I recently came back after a couple of years. I have 1.9k mith bars and was wondering what would be the best thing to smith for profit? Like arrowheads to make mith arrows, mith throwing knives, mith pick axes, or maybe something else I haven't considered? If it doesn't matter, I'll either make arrows or knives and keep them. I'm just curious if there are any mithril items that are in demand. Thanks.

The thing is, as with everything else, there's theoretical profit and actual profit.

Selling something that doesn't sell in bulk won't give you profit.

I mined and made the bars myself. So it's all profit. I was just curious if there were any hot items at the moment. It's been years since I played. If not, it's cool. I'll just make arrows or throwing knives and use them myself to raise ranged.

I say test them a little bit at a time, because what I'm getting at is that something sitting in a GE box for weeks is no good.

Yeah I haven't committed to anything. I made the bars 5 years ago. I know the mith market isn't great, just trying to find a purpose for old stock.

Chestplates and other big-XP items one below the maximum upgrade level generally sell for a decent amount. I don't know how reliable that is for mithril, though.

Mithril platebody +2 is worth a little less than 6k more than the bars that go into it. It's not worth the time you would invest into it.

OP, just sell them unless you're in the 30-39 level range for your smithing.

Personally i would go with scimtars and disassemble them.
I seem to recall them having components that you could normally only get from disassembling whips. But i could be mistaken.

make plate bodies/legs. These are high demand items because of invention.

Forgot about this. Yeah, hold 600 of them for masterwork if you think you're ever going to hit 99 smithing.

And seriously, do not listen to the people telling you to smith the mithril bars for profit. I'd guess it'd take you about 10 hours to go through those 1900 bars, and you'd only make a few hundred thousand gold profit from it.

Thanks for the advice. Yeah I'm level 80 smithing and I'm also sitting on a pile of rune bars. I just made 18k cannonballs today as I got tired of looking at my steel bars and put them to use. I made all of these bars a long time ago and just recently came back to the game.

Also I mined all of the required ore to make all of these bars so it's all pure profit for me.

I mentioned what I did primarily because I was assuming OP was looking to make smithing XP as well as GP. Didn't realize they were that far past the point where smithing mithril was worthwhile.
