Sunfury and Lunarfury Armor
I recently came back and won a rare item in Treasure Hunter. The two choices that I am interested in are either the Sunfury chest plate or the Lunarfury helm. Are these items cosmetic overrides or are they actual items? I didn't play when these items were released so I don't really know what they are. Thanks.

LOL. The Wiki gives reference to each of the set pieces, which you'd know if you even bothered to look at the two posted links. I get notifications when things I've commented on are replied to. Blame Steam for that ability ;)

Block me daddy uwu.

Thank you :) I didn't realize this. I've been using both.
Hopefully the OP comes back and sees this.

That's incorrect. It is entirely cosmetic. There are no stat bonuses on any cosmetic overrides, including sunfury and lunarfury. Starfury is a set with a similar name which is not a cosmetic override and does provide stats.

I give some tips related to sunfurry/lunafurry so maybe someone in future look here and learn from (my own, lol) mistakes..

As soon as you get FIRST part of sunfurry/lunafurry -add it to your permament outift - if you have ANY plans to get those sets to tier 2 (one that glows)
btw its esiest to add either boots or gloves to almost any outift, cos they are least noticeable -but that advice only matter when someone gather most part of it witch is, well, RNG dependant

https://runescape.wiki/w/Sunfury_Armour_(Tier_2)
https://runescape.wiki/w/Lunarfury_(Tier_2)

I tell you in advance: those outfits are now more or less "jagex trolling hard"*
you need 35,000 "points" to upgrade set to tier2
Lunafury upgrade when you train Runecrafting or Mining
Sunfury upgrade when you train Prayer (you can just bury 1 bone, but it still onlyt tick once per 5min)

they upgrade ehem 50 POINTS at atime, in 5 minutes intervals
! HOUR of mining = 600points
35k / 600 = 60h mining/runecrafting

And yes, it only gathering points when you wearing the outfits(at least 1part)
You better not wake up with 90+ mining and notice "oh wait, i also wanted to level my Lunafury to Tier 2 -.-' )

+
Vic the Trader(merchant that buy "bonus experience) also sells (at least curently) both Sunfury armour parts AND "Gem of Aspiration (+500 sunfurry points)
Still buying cosmetic overrides are one of last thing i would suggest to get from Vic
https://runescape.wiki/w/Vic%27s_Store#April_2021

*originally both outfits were possible to get WITH those "boosting gems", but now (i mean for years "now")gems are not avaible on normal Treasure Hunter/spins

The Sunfury is easy enough to "level" up to tier 2, however. If you have the complete set. Those points come from earning Prayer points and the easiest way to do this is to kill monsters, say the ghouls found near the Slayer Tower in Canifis and then hopping worlds because resets the timer. You get points for each kill and there's a time span involved which is reset whenever you hop worlds so it really doesn't take all that much time to upgrade the full outfit to tier 2. I did this myself just a few months ago.
