- Make use of Demonhorn Necklace & Blood Necklaces (Dungeoneering Necklace upgrades)
This item is incredibly useful: when using this item on a task which drops big bones (any bones) you can literally Soul Split / Turmoil your way through tasks without an issue and for free. It restores Prayer Points based on bone tier. I've seen a lot of Slayers using Essence of Finality on such tasks as Dark Beasts, Airut or Chaos Giants - stop it. You're wasting money and making your task longer.Vice versa, the Blood Shard attachment on a [DG] Necklace can sometimes be replaced by a Souls on task and be more useful. Most people use a Souls on a task in which they have to protect overhead against something. For instance, Soul Devourers [Salawa] task usually consists of Aggression potions, Overload and overhead Prayer. It would make more sense to bring a[n] [amulet of] Souls to Corrupted Workers since they're stronger, however Salawa's power can be circumvented in the same way with the use of Devotion and Scrimshaw of Vampyrism. The Souls only provides 10% more overhead protection, (and a little more HP leeching but you won't be using overhead SS in this case). Unless you really need it, it's a waste of money to use. Essence of Finality costs approx 28m to repair, Souls 2-3m - if you're hardly using Souls you're hardly spending money and subsequently making more money.
- Spring Cleaner / Advanced Gold Accumulator
Spring Cleaner: Self explanatory - alching your items, especially Rune salvage drops, increases passive GP drops to your pouch and saves you time from running to pick items up. Advanced Gold Accumulator, in the same way, picks up all gold drops by NPCs:"The Advanced Gold Accumulator is a permanent non-degrading version of the gold accumulator and will automatically collect coins dropped by monsters for the player, and add them to the player's money pouch. The Advanced Gold Accumulator destroys 10% of the coins it gathers."
There are a multitude of other Quality of Life options that can make your task practically free. You're not there yet at level 58 but it'd be best to start preparing to save now than later. Making money on tasks requires preference, a lot of grinding and repetition. You'll end up sacrificing xp for gp or the other way around.
Make sure you have a sustainable gold to xp method and favourite the correct monsters for you. Personally I'm not a fan of the 'sweaty' tasks yet I make 1.5b per 20-30m Slayer xp. Which some would say is terrible but it's better than nothing for not even a fraction of an investment.
85 slayer also gives abyssal demons which are a good training spot if you have aggression potions and drop a ton of ashes, salvage, etc.
Everything past 96 is the big bucks, yeah. Anything that isn't good money is usually good xp, like Hydrix Dragons.
