70 defence minimum overall though I'd say.
Get your strength and defence up there too and give it a shot, Barrows is very easily doable in full Necronium with Duel Necronium axes, without food or prayer, trust me, I'm I'm Ironman, I know.
Full Necronium is favourable at lower levels for the extra high defence and hp bonus, but if Guthans works for you, go for it 👍
Just be sure to have your prayer high enough to use Protect/Deflect, or it's really going to hurt.
The truth is, Barrows is quite useless for xp and gp (unless you like to roll the dice for loot). Do this instead:

There are many tutorials on youtube, and there are lots of people always looking to do it with others. The wiki lists it as roughly 5m gp/h and 900k-1.5m xp/h (not including constitution xp).
So if you still want to do Barrows, it might be worth doing an hour or two of Shadow Reef and get yourself to lvl 85 lol. You'll get addicted to the xp rates in there. Good luck!
I'm not entirely convinced that the OP is doing this for xp, loot maybe sure but xp is doubtful, if anything, I would assume they're doing it for the boss kills, while as a side effect having a chance at some juicy loot, such as the Amulet of the Forsaken (28m currently)
Shadow Reef? Yeah you can do it as much as you'd like
