You could probably leave right away, all that's really required there is to start Cook's Assistant and The Restless Ghost. You can find other level 1 training spots elsewhere, like Burthorpe
You'll be going back there for YEARS and YEARS for different things, bet that cheered you up :)
go where you want when you want
I mean i just run like 30 metres from lodestone and i have: FULL forge, bank chest + general shop + thieves guild (as a bonus :p) all on top of each other. Sure -there are missing things like pot crafting stuff, kitchen or loom (that for some reasons is stuck on second floor of castle, eh)
tl:dr - whats the best city/place with: good teleport access and all facilities stack "in one place"
(sure i really like Artisan Workshop -but it sooooo far from lodestone)
but generally y Lumby and burthorpe are ace
After that i'd usually wait until i hit level the required attack level for a rune pickaxe, get it from a store at 32k, then head to Varrock west mining pit, because that is where you find coal and start mining what you need.
By the time you are done, you'll be half way out of the beginner phase, somewhere around level 40. None of that requires you to spend very long in Lumbridge.
These days it is a different beast, although it has been a few years since i last played. It may have changed even more since then in Lumbridge.
Hopefully that doesn't count as Lumbridge if you mean the same as OP lol, if it does then there's an iron mine to the south of Varrock
You can see where to find any ore type by clicking the mining skill guide, in your skills tab. Alternatively, type "/wiki iron ore" (without the quotation marks) in the ingame chatbox.
