New to game and just got a red crate called large skill training dummy

what do I do with it exactly

Click on it. Inside are various training dummies you can use to train different skills. You will be asked to choose which you prefer and you'll receive a number of them.

Think of them as a punching bag for boxers. Deploy one of the dummies by clicking on it. Then click on the dummy itself to train in that skill. Once it's used up, you can deploy another if you wish and continue training. Once they are all used up, they're gone. You can have any number of these in your inventory or bank and can train with them any time you wish.

When you click to open it, you get an option for a trainning dummy for a selection of skills.
I don't use mine because i let them sit in my bank. You can probably get massive xp from them at higher lvls.

they are best used to train your combat skills outside of killing mobs. i used mine for the last part of the Lumbridge Catacombs since you need to be combat level 22-23 to fight the boss there.

If it's skill dummies you can't train combats from them, it's slayer thieve agility and hunter
Idk if they work in the double xp coming up but I'd say save them for higher level training

combat dummies and skill dummies scale to your level= more xp the higher your level is

If they do work in DXP def save them for that.

It's not as if you'll never get any future skill or combat dummies ever again. You will find lots of them, sometimes as rewards for events. You can even use other people's dummies when they are deployed.

other peoples only give you a tiny fraction of the xp though

When he's used up these, he can use those until he runs across some more of his own. I just didn't want him to think he had to save these for dozens of levels because he'd never get a chance to use anything like them again.

yep true, but DXp is only a wk or 2 away and seems a waste to use a stackable item now when its good xp then

Might just be me but i get 10 times more combat dummies than skill dummies and skill dummies are way better
