Botting/multi account

Is it nolonger against the rules? I watched like 19 people literally pilot like a field of bots. Is this nolonger a bannable offense?

Edit: For clarity when i say botting i mean automating with scripts, macros or otherwise on a virtual machine, instance, or physical pc.

When i say multi-accounting i mean manually piloting 1 account with macros or hotkeys (close to botting but not fully automated as it still requires human interaction vs the latter)

Yes, it is against the rules and usually ends up in a permanent ban. Not only that its frowned upon in our community and id strongly advise against doing it.

multi account is the norm in rs3 members
non bannable but does have a few rules, you'd have to check what they are
I think it's not using them to gain a advantage in dnd's minigames and maybe pvp

botting is always a ban ofc

The Evil One , the people who the poster is referring to are the discord and twitch streamers who have multiple screens and the accounts are spread out.

Jagex hasn't stated logging multiple accounts in the same pc is bannable or not.

That is what the poster is asking about.

So multi logging is allowed. You can share wealth between your multi logged characters.
You can transfer wealth from old to new character.

The change is fairly recent. Used to be against the rules.

I didn't realise Jagex hadn't made it clear about multi from the same pc though, that is something to check out, multi screen means nothing though does it, I have 2 screens on one pc and I assume you can have more

The op was asking 2 different question to my eyes, is botting allowed and is multi accounting allowed
so maybe I just misread his meaning

One of the reasons i did not mind a fresh character.
Got 2 launchers open and moved some stuff from old 2012 character to new 2020 character.
Will probably eventually move everything.

And yeah botting on the other hand is still not allowed and never will be.
Botany Bay was even created so players can vote on how to punish caught bots.

I don't multi much but if I'm doing a month of incan energy I will do it on 2 accounts at same time
The second account will only make half the gp of my main but for things like mining/arch mats or energy it makes sense to run 2 accounts

The alt will still make a bond a day in gp so no problem keeping the extra membership up for that month

yeah but is macroing? Because the only way to humanly pilot multiple accounts on the scale i've seen done by 2 people is with macros. Theres no other way.

Edit: I can easily macro 30+ accounts its not that hard. But if its a bannable offense, why are folks who are openly streaming and pulling this allowed to do so?

botting is not. report anyone if u think they are SUSPICIOUS.
