Not able to set up a registered email

Hello!

This is the first time I am playing this game via steam. I try to go an register an email through runescape.com in my game account in the section "Email and Communication preferences. I enter my email and set a password and the form keeps saying I have an invalid password and it needs to be a certain length. I've tried many different passwords and it still gives me this error.

I did not create this account first in the runescape site, nor have I tried to link a login email.

Of course, this is super frustrating!

Hi, I may have found a fix.

I entered a password without a special character and it worked for me.

Example: Login500
