"too many login attempts" on OSRS

game came out in 1999, in 2020 jagex still dont know how to fix this.

search on osrs reddit for "too many login attempts" and see how many people are affected by this. how can a support of a game be so bad? its been so many months and still people can't play the game because of a simple thing. somebody around the world can never let you play again if they only know your login name, they can spam wrong password 24/7 and you can never login, how is that fun ? i've played this game since 2007 and i hope they wake up and do something QUICK. it can't be so hard to fix this problem, WoW had the same problem many years ago.. do it simple, and fast. all i want is to play the game and GG to my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dragon tier on trailerblaze league, thanks jagex.

It's a OS issue no one cares here
If it effected RuenScape they'd fix it in seconds

If it effected RuenScape they'd fix it in seconds

but it does affect rs3,when dxp was running i tried on multiple attempts to make a new account..it worked out that jagex or most websites do not like msn,hotmail or gmail address's as there very common..so in the final attempt i used an email address that was different from those 3 & i could login straight away..also @ Baghdad check to see if you're internet is having a lot of "internet traffic" running through while trying to login to osrs as it could be down to you're isp

No game called RS3 exists so only effects OS, or do you mean it effects Runecape players too?

obviously i can't login to my RS3 account that i have either, so it effects Runescape in general.

i even try with my friends pc. same problem.

Again there is no RS3 only Runescape and OS

But I'm assuming you mean Runescape
In that case yes it's important and should get sorted ASAP

yes i understand that but the last time i logged in was back in january 2013 before osrs was coming out so back then it was called rs3 as that was the 3rd major update for runescape..most rs vets still call it that :)

yes i understand that but the last time i logged in was back in january 2013 before osrs was coming out so back then it was called rs3 as that was the 3rd major update for runescape..most rs vets still call it that :)

It's just a standing joke now to try and distance RuneScape from OS

I'm having the same issue in RS3 and OSRS. I can only play via Steam - only RS3, because Steam it's not available for OSRS so far.
I cannot login via the client or in the site, so I cannot report the issue, write on the forums or buy stuff at Solomon's.
