I don't think that's really for you to decide. Its down to the individual person, I reccomend trying both out and seeing what you like best. I like the action and style of RS3 but OSRS feels far more rewarding to level in from a personal view point. I enjoy the grind and get a great sense of satisfaction hitting the goals I set myself far more than in RS3.
this game's microtransactions are way less aggressive or egregious than anything EA has come up with in recent years. and for that matter also better than Ubisoft's Bethesda's and Activisionblizzard . stop your bullsh!tting
Pure casual or pure tryhard it's very good, but if you want to take it seriously you have to sell your soul or you're going to have a bad time.
I've learned not to care about what's optimal unless I'm especially in a hurry. Much better that way.
The only way to get ANY new player could be if they create a new server from 14 oct, but i don't think they do that.
So who player with at least a little brain will want to begin with a lvl 1 chara in servers with max lvl characters? (all the old timers of this game)
