First of all i never gave anyone my info only i known the info to my account at the time your just saying i gave my info to people.
1: I dont give my account info to people i dont trust or know
2: Hackers have stolen my friend steam account when they had two step on their account so hackers are learning to by pass most stuff now.
well had not play in like a 1 at the time when i gone back my account was locked and found out. Sometime during that year I did not play someone got into my account I never open gone to the fake RuneScape sites.
The other less-likely method involves old accounts with recovery questions that can easily be found out or guessed. As far as I know, you can't manually get rid of these recovery questions, but you may be able to ask Jagex per a data access request to change or remove them. Jagex may have even got rid of the questions altogether or has a different protocol for handing this nowadays too.

In short, RS is pretty secure nowadays, and I'd even say it goes beyond most games with the bank pin ability (and goes even further in RS3).
Just be smart.
You have password security. Make it a hard one.
You have Jagex account guardian that only lets you log in from recognized devices.
You have a token to add new devices.
If someone got past all that then its your kid brother.
You know i think they even implemented a censor on the word password in game?
