I have 2 accounts for RuneScape that I haven't logged into in 15-16 years. Can I recover those accounts somehow?

I don't remember the passwords. I only have a guess as to what the passwords are. I may remember one of the old passwords and the email account attached to them though.

If you can verify that I haven't logged in in long time, can you just 2 factor me through my email?

The normal runescape website might help you out, recovering accounts as long as you know the username / email that it is connected to should work most of the time, best of luck.

As the above said if you remember the email registered to account you can reset your password by following the provided in the recovery email.

if it is 15-16years old then you would of used a username to login not the email. So your best bet is to recall teh username used if you can't then oyu COULD try asking for support through the official website via forgot my username etc.. and using hte email you beleive to be associated to teh account(s). Just know you will need ot provide a lot of info that would date back to that last time you logged in to be of success.

I had my account hacked and stolen from me about 12ish years ago by a Chinese botter - I recently recovered it, actually, by filling out an appeal/recovery application on Runescape's website. I call it an "applicaton" because it will literally ask you as many questions as possible to try and verify if it's really you, and to verify that it can give it back to you. This is anywhere from what you think your past e-mail was, a list of five possible passwords you could have used, where you live, what credit card you may have used if you paid for a membership, if you did use a membership, what year was it, age, birthday, ... tons of questions. Even providing 'guesses' is better than leaving any of those questions blank, because they'll do their absolute best to review it and go through the motions.

Amazingly, I managed to recover that account, and enable two-factor authentication, so it wouldn't get stolen again. Runescape has a pretty poor password system, so a surefire way to keep it safe is two-factor authentication. It sounds like you didn't get yours 'stolen' so much as you just haven't used it in a long time, but I thought I'd mention, just in case it -was- hacked in the time period you were gone, because the chances of that are pretty high.

The best thing you can have is a bank pin and if you have a phone that is able to use an authenticator download it.
