As per the title, what percentage of active players are actually just bots like in OG runescape? 90% or so?

If Jagex were to ban all the bots the game would be basically empty (theres not many people on anyway) Hardly anybody talks in game and I feel like I encounter more bots than genuine players.

RS3 has between 50k to 60k players playing at all times daily and has been steadily rising so that's not true at all. But that being said there really aren't a whole lot of bots on RS3 because the bot banning detection is significantly better than it is on OSRS there is a severe lack of them. It's just easier for gold farmer to target OSRS and so most rather just do that, there are some known spots of bots like cursed energy in RS3 but they are exceptions not the rule.

i miss the days when some servers were full/hovering just under full, and you would always have some one to chat to. I took an accidental 6 year break, ive come back and it's the same in some ways but hugley different in others. Slightly intimdating, also have this feeling that most layers are more making the money/grinding skills.

Probably some are bots, others are probably alts (Saw a dude use 2 computer to have quite an amount of alternate accounts on twitch, no idea why, but I got some people either enjoy the game THAT MUCH, or they're just gold farmers part of some weird real-world trading stuff).

You're probably new to RuneScape, welcome.
Around five to six years ago a series of updates to the client and the detection system made the current RS3 iteration (almost) bot free, there are some tries to bot, but as soon as they hit p2p they get detected and banned so there's less than 0,67% (official numbers) of bots right now.

I was stuck in a queue to get into a world the other day. Took 6 minutes to be able to play on the world I wanted because of a specific activity.

I doesn't make sense to have bots have a steam client. Most people don't talk becaus they are AFK or semi-AFK skilling.

I have seen a few bots last month at the GE, reported the same one daily so i doubt they remove bots within houres.

Are you talking about OSRS? 90% bots? no probably 92 or 99 maybe more maybe less
