edit: OSRS is also the one that people make content for (youtube) and stream
you will find bots in the version that has outdated defense programs, requiers far less processing power and is available on mobile
Both games have their flaws and their benefits. Both are just as fun as the next, and both will be engaging. It is just a matter if you find either fun, and it is perfectly fine if you prefer OSRS over RS3 or RS3 over OSRS.
Just don't be a ♥♥♥♥ about it, like these fools.
Want a fun mmo? OSRS
Want pretty graphics? Literally any other mmo.
I do have a few gripes with OSRS. Mainly the community, they're so anti-social and hardly ever want to talk, hang out or do anything besides the "best" method/boss because it's not efficient, thus a waste of time. Same with slayer spots, there's enough for 2-3 people to use but they want the entire spot to themselves. What I mentioned probably won't be an issue until you reach end game.
And before anyone says i'm a noob that wants to do noob things. I'm 126 with 2100 total.
Ultimately it's up to you to decide, goodluck.
Probs cause half the community is mutted (Max account here)
Lol, the last time I was social I lost all my ♥♥♥♥... damn sweet talkers...
yea both games got scammers got hacked myself lost a twisted bow only a handful of duds ill lend to
In OSRS every small thing feels like an accomplishment. Whereas RS3 is really built for full completion, making small achievements feel less cool, but bigger picture more manageable.
If you're someone who's ok with what may be considered "archaic" design by today's mentalities in favor of a more satisfying experience overall, OSRS is significantly better. But if you're not into slower, more cryptic gameplay, RS3 may be a better choice.
And, honestly if they'd just released it as its own game it may have gone over better. Everyone just loading halfway through a completely different game after an update only to find all their progress on their accounts now felt nullified since the game was made so easy? Should have been split games from the start.
