Hi everyone, i play this since i was a kid, someone knows if the original playtime will be transferred to the steam library stats or just starting from october 14th?

I don't think there has been an official statement, but that is incredibly unlikely - especially if you've played multiple accounts.

Steam also tends to track played time differently than RuneScape does - being in the lobby on RS3 doesn't track time played IIRC, but for Steam it theoretically would/should if we look at other games, which in my experience just track time that the program is open (could be exceptions/I could be outright wrong though, I don't pay a ton of attention to that kind of thing).

I would imagine playtime would start (logging to Steam) once RS is released to Steam. However, they've not mentioned anything about play time, only Steam achievements and we don't know specifically what the achievements will be yet.

Your in-game character will still have it's accrued play time though. Since you will be linking your Steam account to your current RS account.

HI,

Playtime on Steam will only count from October 14th, if/when you play RS through Steam. It won't show your time played outside of Steam.

Steam only counts playtime when Steam API detects a game running that has been officially released on Steam.

well jagex needs to release 5/10/15 (and soon 20) year veteren steam achievements just like they have the veteren capes in game. at least this will show something worthwile to see in steam.
i know they can do this at least. maybe we need to start a poll to get them working on it.

if your character in game has a vet cape = transfer it to a steam achievement, you don't have to have all the exact playing time, just what i aforementioned, surely it can't be too hard to do.
