Fav and least fav skills
What's everyone's fav and least fav skills and why

As somone with all 99's besides 2 (ach and invention) right now im injoying archaeology. Only started 2 or 3 months ago and am slowly getting its lev up. At 92 atm and the semi afk is always nice. Did like dugg when it came out but now dont do it alot

The afk roles (wood cutting, fishing, ect) can be "fun". A bit of a downtime and allows you to turn off your brain for a bit. Note mining and smithing went afkable when I did them and I haven't really done them after there big update but I can see them being the same

Ones I hate, invention. I never really understood the skill. Throw on a part to a wep, fight with it them destroy it for invention xp... yer... I'll pass. Probably caz, as I said I'm 99 on most skills invention "helps" with is worthless to me.

And to think I have it at 98. Mostly to lamps and double xp weekend and learning you can ues extream invention pots to do higher invention reasursh.
When I get this last lev I'll prob never try and any xp in it again

Slayer is my creed.
Dungeoneering is boring.
Just augment your main weapon and use siphons on it til you hit lvl 120 invention.

My favourite skill is for sure Farming, there's something satisfying about planting stuff and coming back to it when it's grown for free stuff with 0 work! Especially those money tree seeds, yum.

Least favourite I would have to say at the moment is Archaeology, I like it but it is not particularly engaging in some of the level brackets, I'm at 103 and it is a bit of a slog.

I kinda liked farming but I dont like being told to go do all herb patches, I skip the troll stronghold one and focus my roots.

I am alright with arch tbh

You can siphon your items when they reach augmented level 12, which doesn't destroy them. Instead of disassembling/destroying the item.

There's no way I'd disassemble my Nox Scythe or custom fit trimmed Masterwork armour.

So far my favourite skill is Invention. It was my 1st skill I achieved 200Mil xp in

Going to list both RS3 and OSRS as I play both (mostly RS3)

RS3: Favourite Slayer make money and train combat stats a win-win in most cases, Least Favourite Dungeoneering was fun on release but the skill doors requiring a boost to open even with 99 sucks.

OSRS: Favourite Slayer same reason for RS3, least favourite runecrafting making runes has its benefits but man is it slow.

Least favorites: Slayer, Firemaking (quite literally just burning money away), Herblore

And as a bonus...
Mixed: Hunter, Invention (not much of a skill in itself but can be useful), Crafting (please, more craftable gear)

Favorite skill conceptually: Invention (It's the most complicated in a good way, has so many uses, and made use of a lot of items with excess supplies that are normally never bought before the skill was released)

Favorite skill to train/do: Farming (It doesn't feel grindy since you just check on pof, ranch, herbs, etc every day and something about having it scheduled every day just feels so satisfying, like its presence is always there but doesn't get in your face like other skills)

Least favorite: Runecrafting, hands down. It just feels incredibly boring and slow to me. Even doing abyss with plenty of boosts just feels repetitive, click-intensive, and slow. I'm glad I won't be ever touching it again after maxing recently.

Dungeoneering comes as a somewhat close second, mostly because I don't have anyone to play with and because the lighting in any floor (maybe except frozen, but that gets rushed) strains my eyes and also makes me drowsy.

for fast runecrafting xp just do runespan. hand down made runcrafting tolerable. ass in the outfit that allows free use to go from island to island and then you will rake in the xp

I would argue that abyss is faster, albeit it feels like it takes longer because of how active it is. Because I hated doing runecrafting actively, I mostly did runespan just so I could afk. The xp/hr on the nodes shown on the wiki may show a higher xp/hr than what's listed for abyss, but downtime and luck with good node spawns has to be taken into account as well, which severely reduces the xp rates.

True that. Ones you find a few nodes together it can be really good xp

Liked most of the skills because how they connect with each other.
Mining: Mine ores
Smiting: Make weapons and armor.
Farming: Plant Herbs
Crafting: Make glass vials
Herblore: Make potions
Fish: Gather food
Woodcutting: Gather logs
Fire making: Make fire
Cooking: Cook Food on fire.
Slayer: Equip gear, grab food, grab potions, go slay.

For that same reason did not like Construction and Dungeoneering much and maybe Divination.
