Abyssal Sire miasma pools problem

When on stage 2, it keeps spawning those pools all the time. I got almost instantly killed, even when trying to avoid them. Is there some trick I don't know to avoid them?

Yes you need to move to avoid his blast then when he begins spawning pools just move 2 tiles back and fourth to avoid taking damage while hitting him
