Dragon Slayer I (F2P)

I'm planning to try this quest soon, but I'm kind of indecisive on how I should go about it.
Should I do it as a melee or a magician? (both lv40) Not really interested in ranged cuz I'm too low on that.

If you have 40 in all your melee stats, you'll be able to kill Elvarg without issue. Just bring some lobsters and you'll be fine.

I was able to beat Elvarg with full addy, a rune scimitar (slash weapons aren't good for dragons), an ammy, anti-dragonfire shield, and a pack full of lobbies. I was also using prayer to boost my strength, but had no problems.

Most important thing is protection from magic as for F2P player.

Alright thanks for the advice, I'll go for the melee run.

Ah I don't use prayers at all, so I might need to do little reading. Thanks for the tip!

remember dragons are inherently strong against magic so that's not a good idea
