game wont start - "please update app"

i just got my pc fixed so i havent been able to play for a few months. today i queued up an update among a bunch of other game updates. when i launch it it gives me a big red X and a message saying to update the game. any solution? thanks!

try relaunching the game you may have tried to play during a system update to servers.
