Bug in account creation?

I am trying to make an account using steam connection but the Old school runscape account creation tool will not accept my birth date 08/12/1965. It keeps saying that it must be dd/mm/yyyy and after 1901 but as you can see it is so is it bugged ad if it is bugged then will the devs please fix it so I can continue?

I just gave it a try in my browser and it took the date just fine (sorry for making a junk account jamflex). If it's somehow an error in the client, try making an account on their website and then linking it with your Steam account there, I guess.

I got in by changing my birth year to 2000. A lie but since the tool seems to be bugged then it was the way to get to work. Why can't they just import the data from my steam account?

Possibly but that would be a private information that steam would request the user to share so maybe they dont? they just assume your old enough because Steam itself has a age requirement?

I would be careful, Jagex wont email you about the Jagex launcher in your email.

It will come through your in game mail that you need to log in the main website.
